Content Really Is King

Okay, to be brutally honest, you can pour all of your marketing dollars into dozens of different SEO schemes and scams and you may even get your site listed in the top position and get thousands of visitors a day. But, all of the traffic in the world does you absolutely no good if your content sucks.

What good is it to have thousands of visitors if they all leave the moment they get there because there is simply nothing that interests them? You really have just a few seconds to let your visitors know that they have found exactly what they’ve been looking for and good content is the only way to do it successfully.

All of the fancy Java and Flash graphics in the world can’t compete with good solid textual content. As a matter of fact, much of the time, the fancy flashy stuff just gets in the way of your visitor finding your content. Now this is not to say you shouldn’t have any of the other stuff. All of the extras can help make your site more attractive but when it’s overdone it just annoys your visitors and quickly sends them away.

Your visitors are there for one reason and one reason only, to find the information that they searched for. Your part is simple. Know what your visitors are looking for and make sure that they can find it in the easiest and fastest way possible.

Bottom line, give your visitors what they are looking for and the search engines will reward you handsomely but, put your focus on ranking in the search engines instead of providing good content and it just won’t matter.
